Next service: Sunday Service
Sun 5th Dec, 10:30am

The ECO Group want to share this thought with you (they had intended to speak at church last Sunday before the services were suspended.)

"This is the kind of fast day I'm after: to break the chains of injustice, get rid of exploitation in the workplace, free the oppressed, cancel debts. What I am interested in seeing you do is: sharing your food with the hungry, inviting the homeless poor into your homes, putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad, being available to your own families."  Isaiah 58 v 6-7

This Bible verse reminds us that all those suffering the effects of the climate crisis are our brothers and sisters. In God's family we are one not separate. We are called to care for our whole family on this Earth, which is our common home.

We believe that care for the planet is part of our calling as Christian people. We have occasional church services on an ECO theme. In 2017 we organised our 1st ever MCT Earth Hour service. We have an ECO task group that are working on our second award.

The ECO group seeks to raise general awareness of how we can care better for the planet and they also seek to explain how our Christian faith motivates us in this area of life. Please find out more at www.ecocongregationscotland.org
